Froyo

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Yes “froyo”, which most may know by frozen yogurt is a popular dish for substituting ice cream but is usually never as good. I know what you’re thinking. “OMG you haven’t had Pinkberry? Its like so fucking good man!” Yea, well i’ve had it, it was okay. Its like that really attractive girl everyone is always talking about, and then one day you meet her and you’re like, “O’ hey, you’re that girl everyone talks about? Nah nah, its all good. Its just, you’re like… not that hot.” Yea that’s what Pinkberry was like for me. But never fear! There’s a place on Thayer st. in Providence, RI called “Juniper” that is owned by (could only pick out a few syllables of an accent here and there) some lovely Koreans!

Highly recommend. Its delicious!
I got the original flavor with some fresh mangoes, pineapple, and pistachios!

Not only can your tea become part of your daily routine, but you can give it a dash of style.

Shipley & Halmos s/s 09

Its like if they read my mind about every single outfit i’ve ever wanted it and then created it.
I started following this line end of last year when i saw some of their stuff in a fashion mag on my lunch at work.
These two designers ended up winning designers of the year last year, and in my opinion are the most consistently brilliant designers out there right now.

How do you spell love?
Shipley & Halmos spring/summer 09 line!

Lemon sandwich cookies are also a way to spell love.
Get some of those.

Sounds Like Funeral Music (update)

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

The record is mixed, mastered, done, complete, finito.
I am still keeping it on the hush until everything is completed.
My closest friends are listening back and giving me their opinions, i’ve gotten good feedback on tracklistings and artwork and its all sorted out now.
I take press photos this week and next week with two different sets of photographers (@ a funeral home and arboreum)and lock down some college radio stations.
iTunes goes live in a month.
Rehearsals start this week.

This is the beginning.

Mark it on your calendars.
I’m coming out the gates to take everything back.
I’m coming to collect on everyone.
I’m coming to fulfill the prophecy set out before i was born.
I’m coming out to prove to anyone whoever said i was stuck in a hole that i was just biding my time.

Stuck in a hole huh motherfucker?
How do I look down here?
Cos’ i feel comfortable as all hell.

This is the beginning.
Strong but silent.

Give me time.
Give me time.

Mama i’m gonna bring home the world for you.
Your little boy brought you home dandelions.
But your grown man is gonna bring you the world.

New Bedford, MA

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Show me a state that’s better than Massachusetts, and i’ll show you a Swiss person that doesn’t own a gun.
Yes, little fun fact for you, every citizen of Switzerland must know how to and maintain an automatic weapon in their home at all times just in case they have to go to war. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I’M MAKING UP. Look it up.

So I had to do some press photos and the town i ended up in for whatever reason was New Bedford. While i was here i decided to pay attention to all the historic sights that i kept walking by. There is a lot of history in this town. From the cobble stone streets to the statues dedicated to war heroes past all help make this tapestry of American history in this little town. Sometimes being a tourist is a little bit of fun. Knowing and being everywhere already gets so boring.
Next time i go i am determined to visit the house where one of my idols used to reside, Frederick Douglas.
I am a history buff, i should have probably kept this to myself.

Also even if you’re not into history, i do recommend visiting thee BEST burrito place on the east coast.
Its a little joint called “NO PROBLEMO”. I’m not a sort of person to exaggerate, and i mean it when i say this.
That was thee BEST burrito i’ve had on the east coast.
I mean, look at the thing, its bigger than my hand.
